As far as I am concerned, I strongly concur with the argument that causes and solutions need to be investigated. This article will elaborate the antropogenic impacts and potential solutions and thus lead to a logical conclusion. Climate change is affecting the earth through increases in temperature, melting of polar ice caps, changes in precipitation patterns, and many more environmental changes. Countries throughout the world emit greenhouse gasses everyday which contributes to the greenhouse effect on our atmosphere. This causes a heating of our atmosphere affecting our environment alongside increasing the global temperature. It is up to policy makers and government officials to enforce more efficient and environmentally protecting laws to fight against climate change.

Projections of becoming more eco-centric is favourable for the world environmentally and countries in an economic standpoint Enkvist, Reducing our ecological footprint is beneficial in all aspects of society. The steps to become more environment aware which policy makers can make, either big or small, can accumulate to a big change throughout countries. Economic growth due to changes in becoming greener is an incentive to countries to benefit both their wealth and the environment Enkvist, In addition, the few negative impacts on humans through new policies have mitigation effects which compensate and is substantial to improve on human health on a global scale Haines, Socio-economic and political conditions have to be assessed when making such changes and can prove to delay the progression of greener options Vuuren, Developed countries, especially, need reduction of their greenhouse gases to decrease ecological footprint and for less contribution to climate change.

Climate change is a major problem worldwide, the actions of one country inevitably have an impact on the rest of the world, some places more than others. Consequently, it is vital for the entire world to be on board with efforts to resolve the issues. Efforts from a few countries, although beneficial can not fix the problem. Climate change is a major problem worldwide, the actions of even one country inevitably have an impact on the rest of the world, some places more than others. Efforts from a few countries, although beneficial can not fix the problem alone. Leaders around the world need to come together to develop polices to. Burning of fossil fuels for electricity, heat and transportation is considered to be largest source of greenhouse gas emission.

Every year, there is an increase in population and when more people living, consequently the demand for energy and the production of waste are significant producers of greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change. Global warming has become one of the most complicated issued facing the whole world. It may cause significant changes in natural, ecological or social systems. Under this circumstance, developed nations has decided to work together to combat this serious problem. The Kyoto Protocol is an international agreement linked to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Its objective is to make nations that ratified the agreement reduce their emissions of carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases, or engage in emissions trading if they maintain or increase emissions of these gases toward the target set for each nation. Many countries are trying their best to support the Kyoto Protocol. On the other hand, some other nations,. On December 12 of , countries made history by committing to the first truly global international climate change agreement Paris Agreement, This agreement took place in Paris and was adopted under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change UNFCCC.

Greenhouse gases concentration in the atmosphere has reached unprecedented levels, causing global temperature increase, floods and droughts, a loss of biodiversity, and ocean acidification among others. Failure to respond to climate change will only exacerbate these effects and threaten water, food and energy systems vital for our quality of life. After years of advocacy and calls by international actors, climate change has finally been placed on the forefront of the global political agenda. In , climate change action was recognized as a core goal in the Sustainable Development Goals, and at COP21, parties of the UNFCCC signed the Paris Climate Agreement aiming to limit global warming to well below 2oC with efforts to pursue 1.

Global warming is the environmental and social changes caused by emissions of greenhouse gases. Human activities have been the primary cause of this significant change, resulting with extreme weather conditions, increasing sea levels, and climate changes. In this paper I will compare and contrast natural versus anthropogenic climate changes of global warming, mitigation strategies, mitigation effectiveness, policy implications, costs, and address some policy changes to help stabilize global climate. While both sides refuse to accept each other, they still do find some areas of agreement and understanding. Both agree. Global Warming has silently crept into our society today because of big business, lack of technology, and greed. And now with a new generation of citizens who understand what we have been doing to our earth have to stand up and do what is right. Most discussions on Global Warming today show similarities between an increase in global temperature and the increase in carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane, and chlorofluorocarbons in the atmosphere. Human activity increases the amount of these gases in the atmosphere and, as a result of the greenhouse effect, increases. Global warming is not fiction. People put forth climate change as if it was something new although the science demonstrating man-made climate change is quite old, presented, and well established.

For the past years, scientists have been aware that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse-gas. In the s, Svante Arrhenius, a Swedish chemist, performed the first calculations of what would happen in a hypothetical scenario where. This indicates that Global Warming is a controversial issue that needs to be addressed. This means that these gases prevent the earth from being cold. This continued process is known as the greenhouse effect, and the gasses that are responsible for maintaining this heat are carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide.

For example, the use of certain fertilizers, produce nitrous oxide and methane emissions come from the production of fossil fuels from landfills, and from livestock, they emphasized. All these evidence illustrates that we are significantly responsible for recent increases in temperatures. For this reason, it is obvious that it is a pressing human issue. This recent dramatic. Social construction can be applied to real world examples. Specifically, global climate change is one of the biggest social issues that is up for debate. How can the public have such drastically different viewpoints?

Social construction offers a basic solution by using environmental discourse. Climate change in a single concept is rising temperatures causing negative global effects. Global Warming is an increase of the average temperature in the earth's atmosphere. According to some scientists, global warming is caused by carbon dioxide and other air pollutants. It is also caused by the greenhouse gasses in the Earth's atmosphere and the absorbing of the the sunlight. Greenhouse gases is a gas that's in the atmosphere that absorbs the radiation within the thermal range. The first person who apparently discovered global warming was Svante Arrhenius, a Swedish scientist. In , he was the first person to claim that fossil fuel combustion may result in enhanced global warming.

People think that global warming is real and that the temperature is rising, but I have reasons why it's not real. Overall, that is all about global warming and its. Some believe it is happening as we speak, while others question its very existence, So, is it real, or is merely a hoax? There is no one answer, but evidence does overwhelmingly support the former. Surely we have all heard this word at one time or another, but few individuals actually know its true definition. Justifiably, however, global warming is not that simply explained. This increase is primarily attributed to two main culprits: the greenhouse effect and human activity, such as fossil fuel burning. In both cases, carbon dioxide CO2 is the. In order to understand the issue of global warming also referred to as climate change , you must first understand what it means and how it happens.

The greenhouse gases responsible for this process are carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and tropospheric ozone, all of which are released into the atmosphere through naturally occurring processes Warrick, R. The Global Warming theory has become increasingly popular over the past few years. Citizens of the world are being encouraged to be more environmentally conscious by others including politicians, celebrities, and world organizations. The problem with the theory lies in the fact that it has become more and more controversial as it gains publicity and attention. These gasses are naturally occurring within the atmosphere and they essentially make the planet habitable by keeping it warm. Essay Topics Writing.

Global warming is a catch phrase of social confusion. Society feels uncomfortable with this notion. Is it real or fake? Little do people know that human progression and population growth adds to carbon emissions in the atmosphere. The term greenhouse gasses mean H2o or water, Co2 or carbon dioxide , and N20 known as nitrous oxide. In the book titled Global Climate Change , it breaks down what global warming is and relays information about carbon dioxide being the primary cause to the negative amounts of greenhouse gasses.

Today, most of the popular sociologists look at the environment from the conflict theory perspective so I will focus on this theory. In the book titled You May Ask Yourself, Conley talks about what conflict theory is. Conley Conflict theorists look at the inequality perspective of societal problems and they can be from poverty, race, or gender etc. An important area of focus among environmental sociologists is the relationship between inequality and the environment. In the article, All About Environmental Sociology, Dr. Cole talks about how environmental sociologists use conflict theory with inequalities in society like income, race, gender and how climate change negatively affects these people.

Low-income people for instance have more of a chance to live in a worse area that may be subject to more environmental hazards.

Similarly, the terms "weather" and "climate" are sometimes confused, though they refer to events with broadly different spatial- and timescales. Weather refers to atmospheric conditions that occur locally over short periods of time—from minutes to hours or days. Familiar examples include rain, snow, clouds, winds, floods, or thunderstorms. Climate, on the other hand, refers to the long-term usually at least 30 years regional or even global average of temperature, humidity, and rainfall patterns over seasons, years, or decades. This term is not interchangeable with the term "climate change. The current warming trend is unequivocally the result of human activity since the s and is proceeding at an unprecedented rate over millennia.

These changes have a broad range of observed effects that are synonymous with the term. Natural processes, which have been overwhelmed by human activities, can also contribute to climate change, including internal variability e.
