I smell fresh sawn mahogany as the carpenters make bars, counters, and doors. I hear stone masons chipping at tiles, and the scraping sounds as they pull out the mortar to lay them. Sometimes in the morning I pull on running sneakers and jog down to Kmart to grab some household items. The bank tellers are also so much nicer in the morning before rude customers have agitated and frustrated them. On Sundays my family and I take in concerts and shows for free. We sit on the lawn that adorns the hill behind our house which overlooks the Center for Performing Arts.
